Walt Disney World® Golf Celebrates The Birth of a Fawn on Disney's Magnolia Golf Course as we Recognize National Wildlife Day

Walt Disney World® Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, is pleased to announce that we were recently privileged to welcome a new addition to the diverse community of wildlife that we have on our courses as we celebrate National Wildlife Day. A fawn was born on the 17th hole of Disney’s Magnolia golf course!

National Wildlife Day, held on September 4, 2017, was founded in 2005 by conservationist Colleen Paige and carried forward in the memory of animal lover and conservationist Steve Irwin. It serves to bring awareness to the number of endangered animals nationally, as well as globally, that need to be preserved and rescued from their demise each year, and also to acknowledge zoos and outstanding animal sanctuaries and organizations globally for everything they do to help preserve this planet’s animals and educate the public about conservation – especially to children….our animal’s future caretakers and conservationists.

Disney’s Magnolia, Disney’s Palm, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista and Disney’s Oak Trail golf courses are all certified as Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuaries and we are proud of our history in fostering and preserving the wildlife and habitat at all of our facilities.

Disney’s Oak Trail golf course specifically, brings a nature trail feel to your golfing experience and we have added wildlife identification information to the scorecard for the course so that you can keep an eye out for the diversity of wildlife we experience here.

We look forward to welcoming you to the “Happiest Place on TURF!”
