Walt Disney World® Golf Is Proud To Announce That We Now Offer FootGolf On Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course!

Walt Disney World® Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, is proud to announce that we are now offering the game of FootGolf on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

We have created a full 18-hole FootGolf course among the 9 regular golf holes on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. The FootGolf course is certified by the American FootGolf League, which was formed in 2012 and is the official sanctioning body of FootGolf in the United States.

FootGolf has become extremely popular worldwide, dating back to the 1990's, with the Federation of International FootGolf as the primary governing body. In the United States there are now more than 500 FootGolf courses and the popularity of the game is growing rapidly.

What is FootGolf?

FootGolf is a precision sport, much like regular golf, and has characteristics that are a combination of both soccer and golf. Instead of playing with golf clubs and balls, players kick a regulation size #5 soccer ball from a special FootGolf designated teeing ground, with orange tee markers, to a FootGolf hole, designated by an orange flag. The hole is 21 inches in diameter and with a depth suitable for the soccer ball to fall completely within the hole.

FootGolf rules are similar to regular golf, in that each hole has a "par" score associated with it and the goal is to get the ball into the hole in the fewest kicks possible. Bunkers, hazards and other golf course characteristics are similar to regular golf, however, there are no forced water carries on any of the 18 FootGolf holes.

Anyone can play the game, from young to old, and it requires minimal experience, other than being comfortable kicking a soccer ball.

The FootGolf holes range in distance from about 65 yards (par 3) to about 207 yards (par 5).

A full round of 18 holes of FootGolf should take the same amount of time as 9 holes of regular golf, so tee times for FootGolf will be interspersed with regular golf tee times on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. Thus, FootGolf players may find themselves in front of or behind a group of regular golf players, without interfering with the overall pace of play.

Walt Disney World® Golf will offer rentals of regulation #5 soccer balls via the proshop, or you may bring your own.

The same benefits afforded to regular golf players, such as free taxi service to and from the courses for Walt Disney World® Resort Guests, will be available for FootGolf players.

More information is available on the dedicated Walt Disney World® Golf FootGolf web page, including online tee time reservations, course map and scorecard, videos on the game and links to additional information resources.

We are excited to welcome you to our new FootGolf experience and to the "Happiest Place on TURF!"
