Periodically through the year, Walt Disney World closes each golf course for maintenance related activities. Here is a list of the currently known closures through the summer of 2011. When the Osprey Ridge course is closed for maintenance, note that the Sand Trap Bar and Grill at the clubhouse is also typically closed. Walt Disney World has announced plans for a new luxury golf resort and community in partnership with Four Seasons. The resort/community will be on a 900 acre site at Bonnet Creek that will include a luxury hotel along with single family and timeshare homes. Construction will take place in phases and the new resort is expected to open in 2010.
